We recognise that our operations can have potentially adverse environmental impacts through our exploration, mining and processing activities.
At IGO we value responsible environmental management as we seek to drive environmental stewardship and continuous improvement.

NATURE
Nature loss is a growing global challenge, with ecosystems declining at an unprecedented pace. IGO’s operations and value chain both rely on and affect nature – and we have a responsibility to understand our footprint and minimise adverse impacts.
For further information on our approach, progress and performance, refer to our latest Sustainability Reports and Databooks.
TAILINGS
Tailings are a byproduct of conventional mineral mining and processing, stored in purpose-built tailings storage facilities. At IGO, we are committed to managing these facilities safely, responsibly and through a risk-based approach - safeguarding our operational assets, minimising environmental impacts and preventing catastrophic failures.
IGO supports the need for the public disclosure of TSF management practices. Read the IGO 2026 Tailings Storage Facilities Disclosure.
